IB Mathematics Educator • Examiner • Head of Mathematics

Hello! I’m Mohammad Malhis, a mathematics educator, IB examiner, and Head of Mathematics with more than 15 years of teaching experience across Jordan, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.

I currently serve as Head of the Mathematics Department at the International Academy – Amman (IAA), where I lead the mathematics team and work with students and teachers across both the MYP and IB Diploma Programme. My work extends beyond the classroom, from curriculum planning and assessment design to supporting teachers and helping students develop stronger mathematical thinking.

I have been an IB Mathematics Examiner since 2012, giving me extensive experience with IB assessments and a close understanding of what examiners look for in student responses. I use this experience to help students recognize common mistakes, communicate mathematics clearly, and approach challenging questions with confidence and strategy.

My teaching philosophy is simple: mathematics should make sense before it is memorized. I focus on breaking complicated ideas into logical steps, connecting concepts together, and helping students understand the why behind the mathematics rather than simply learning procedures.

MOMATICS — Making Mathematics Make Sense

I created MOMATICS to bring this approach to more students. Through structured lessons, carefully designed notes, past-paper practice, exam strategies, and video solutions, MOMATICS is designed to make high-level mathematics clearer, more organized, and more approachable.

My goal is not simply to help students earn better grades, but to help them become confident mathematical thinkers who can approach unfamiliar problems independently.
